What is SOC Manager?
Overview
SOC Manager® is a secure web application developed by Midwest Security Products, Inc. for managing iLOQ access control systems.
SOC Manager provides a simplified, task-oriented interface for performing common access management functions without requiring users to work directly in iLOQ Manager.
Depending on your organization's configuration and your assigned permissions, SOC Manager can be used to:
- Manage Persons who require access.
- Issue and revoke Phone Keys.
- Issue and revoke Key Fobs.
- Manage access to Sites.
- Manage Access Profiles.
- Blacklist lost or stolen credentials.
- Retrieve Key and Lock Audit reports.
- Submit Service / Support requests when this feature is available.
How SOC Manager Organizes Access
SOC Manager uses several basic concepts to organize access.
Sites
A Site represents a location or group of locks managed within SOC Manager.
Sites are also used to control what information Users can see and manage.
Persons
A Person is an individual who can receive an iLOQ credential, such as a Phone Key or Key Fob.
A Person can be associated with one or more Sites.
Users
A User is someone who logs in to SOC Manager to manage access.
The Sites and permissions assigned to a User determine what the User can see and what functions they can perform.
Access Profiles
An Access Profile defines the access that can be assigned to a Phone Key or Key Fob.
When issuing a credential, the appropriate Access Profile is selected to determine the access provided to the Person.
Phone Keys and Key Fobs
SOC Manager supports iLOQ credentials including:
- Phone Keys, which allow a compatible mobile phone to function as an iLOQ credential.
- Key Fobs, which provide a physical electronic credential for accessing authorized locks.
SOC Manager and iLOQ Manager
SOC Manager works with the iLOQ locking system but does not replace iLOQ Manager.
iLOQ Manager is used for administration and configuration of the underlying iLOQ locking system.
SOC Manager provides authorized users with a streamlined interface for common day-to-day access management tasks.
